“ Loved the Italian Combo. 1 sandwich was enough for 2 people - so good price for the portion! The sandwich was light & refreshing, with that olive-mayo spread bringing such a bright flavor to each bite. The bread was also crunchy on the outside & soft and delightful on the inside! ”
“ Talk about a well balanced sandwich- this hit the spot like no other Italian I have had before. The deli is small but cozy. And service was excellent:) definitely recommend it for a delicious Sammy :) ”
“ Love, love, love the sandwiches here. Italian combo is my #1 followed by roast beef, and the Rueben. ”
“ I've had catering from Court Street a few times and it always hits the spot! The following sandwiches really have no business being as good as they are: - Vegitalian Combo (sweet potato, Swiss, mozzarella, pecorino, arugula, onion, olive spread, mayo, vinaigrette) - The Droopy (roast beef, arugula, fried onions, horseradish mayo) - Ham & Cheese (ham, cheddar, romaine, pickle Dijonnaise) The bread is exceptional (hearty Italian baguette with sesame seeds) and the sandwiches are always filled very well. The sides/salads and dessert platter are also great! ”
“ Very excited to finally have tried court street grocers! I heard a lot of amazing things and one of the stand out faves seemed to be the broccoli Reuben so I knew I had to get it. I ordered ahead of time so I could avoid the wait but on a weekday there was actually no line at all! The sandwich itself is actually quite good. The broccoli gives it a nice texture and actually fits in quite well with the sauerkraut and Russian dressing. The bread is also quite good and had a nice crisp when grilled. However, it is $16 for what is essentially broccoli and sauerkraut so that makes lunch at court street grocers far less appealing. Looking through pictures it seems like it used to be around $13 which is a much fairer price for what it is. I would consider coming back and trying one of the meat sandwiches since they seem to be a better bang for your buck. ”
“ Craving a sandwich while in or around Carroll Gardens? Head to Court Street Grocers. They'll take care of you, be it a plain or fancy build. Enjoy your eats there, if you like, in the dining space next to the shop. Check out the cool assortment of German food products while you wait for your creation. ”
“ Lots of Deli's in Brooklyn. My sister dug this deli and felt it was worth the walk. Deli is tight on space, has a limited assortment of baked treats and about 25 sandwiches to choose from. Here's my three things: 1) Most of the sandwiches are deli favorites. I would just say each has an item, preparation or condiment that sets it apart. The Italian had a creamy giardiniera DELICIOUS! 2) Dining area had water out for those who don't want something fizzy from the coolers and condiments out for those that need some kick. About 8-9 tables in the place. Not good for groups larger than 4. 3) Lots of takeout going out the door and that may be the move as we waited 30 minutes for our sandwiches. Next time I grabbing the Rueben or the Cuban. ”
“ Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 If you have been living under a rock and haven't heard about Court Street Grocers, get up and go. Hands down the best sandwiches in the city. It never misses. I can't mess with a good thing, so haven't tried any other sandwich aside from the salmon sandwich. They have some good kombucha options. The sencha kombucha is my favorite. They have pantry staples for sale as well. It doesn't initially look like there's indoor seating but there's a good amount of seating in the room over - just ask the staff if you can't find it. There's also three or four large tables on the sidewalk. But if the weather is good and you are okay with a walk, the promenade and piers are sorta close by. ”
“ Interesting combinations. I ordered the Macho which is roast pork with Cole slaw, and a few other toppings. The sandwich was tasty. The service was friendly but be prepared to wait minimum of twenty to twenty five minutes for sandwich to be made. The only place to wait is outside as there is no inside seating. And although the sandwich was good the sandwich is a bit pricy at $16, given that this is strictly a take out establishment and the sandwich is not shareable. It may be that I'm use to sandwich shops that serve larger sandwiches, I don't know. ”
